THE CURSE OF FENRIC

I made this cover in one excruciatingly long day - about twelve hours of work, I think, with everything but the runes a manipulated screen capture from the new "movie" version of the story. There were some fifty or sixty Photoshop layers in all, which is quite boggling when you consider my norm is around ten. The fire and smoke are cleverly masking a few things, like that the background shot has Fenric in it (in the form of the Captain), as well as the Ancient Haemovore. And yes, the runes do say something - translated first from English to Icelandic, and then to Futhark - although I'm sure I have the grammar wrong. (Regardless of language, you can easily make out which word is "Fenric.") See if you can guess what the three highlighted runes represent - if you know the story well, and the characters above those runes, I think you just might be able to...
